Science Assessment Leadership Academy

Steven Schneider, the Principal Investigator of the Center for Assessment and Evaluation of Student Learning (CAESL), introduces this National Science Foundation-funded Center for Learning and Teaching, which strives to enhance student learning through improved science assessment practice. Teacher professional development is a powerful way to reach that goal. This exhibit introduces the CAESL Science Assessment Leadership Academy for practicing K-12 science teachers.

Student learning improves when assessment is an integral part of curriculum and instruction in the classroom. The CAESL Academy helps districts achieve the goal of using assessment as a tool for improving teacher practices and student performance.
