(PDF, 400KB) A 28-page summary
of all 44 counties' progress reports for FY 05-06.

Counties participating in CARES submit annual progress reports to First 5 California. W4QCC is contracted by First 5 California to summarize these reports. The latest summary (FY05-06) is featured here. Previous years' reports are archived and can be downloaded. For information about specific counties, please visit the County Comparisons page.

In 2005-2006 44 out of 58 counties reported receiving First 5 California's CARES funding; each was also supported by local First 5 Commission funds. 2005-2006 was considered a transition year to implement new standards and participant eligibility requirements. Therefore, counties reported some program areas not fully implemented. Should you have questions about this report, contact Working for Quality Child Care at cares@caccwrc.org or (415) 808-4312.

For your convenience, you can download both the full report and sections of the report.
