USCharterSchools.org is the nation's most widely used and comprehensive online resource available to charter schools. It provides a broad range of information services and links to resources to assist the charter community in every phase development - from start-up, to expansion, to renewal. Created in 1997 by WestEd, in partnership with the US Department of Education and the Charter Schools Development Center, the Web Site is a place where charter school developers, authorizers, operators, teachers, parents, policymakers, researchers, and support providers can meet, exchange ideas, and access an extensive resource library . The site receives an average of 4,000 visits (or 80,000 hits) per day and has over 10,000 subscribers to its email newsletters:
