Just sharing a Best Practices project lead by the Business Roundtable for Education in San Diego that was a huge success and one that lasted four years. Here is the direct link to anyone that would like to download the K-8 and high school books from a pdf file. Schools featured in the book are both charter schools and non-charter schools. http://www.educationroundtable.org/BestPractices.htm The books highlight great programs and a rubric that was used by business to choose the ones that would be highlighted. Information is also included that shows how and why the teachers think the program or project was making an impact on student achievement. Resources attached to each project give school name, principal name, teacher name and ways a person could contact them to get additional information.
The Roundtables project this year is to go back over the last four years and see which ones are still in operation and academic success rate of students.
