Barter Trade Agreement Organization Receiving Service: EECOM Resource Specialist Providing Service: David Wicks Description of Service: EECOM, as a relatively young and developing organization, is asking David WIcks, NAAEE President to speak to its membership to initiate a North-South dialogue between EECOM and NAAEE. This will lead into a discussion of roles and associations and possible future relationships between these organizations. EECOM hopes this discussion will lead to a strengthened relationship between NAAEE and EECOM;hopes it will identify opportunities for collaboration; and will integrate ideas arising from these discussions in EECOM's ongoing strategic planning process. Timeline: August 17 start and complete on August 21, 2000 Value of Service in EEBU's: 50 Beneficiary Organization: North American Association for Environmental Education Comments: David Wicks provided EECOM 2000 conference participants as well as EECOM Steering Committee members with a clear overview of NAAEE discussions regarding North Amrican dynamics in NAAEE. This presentation formed the basis for both formal and informal discussions about the relationship of Mexican, USA, and Canadian EE organizations and possible impacts to changing existing relationships. Feedback was positive and constructive, with both NAAEE President and EECOM Steering Committee better understanding the issues and the opportunities. Wicks presence at EECOM 2000 also resulted in most participants for the first time hearing about the NAAEE and its continental mandate. Thank you David! Thank you NEEAP/NAAEE!
