    Bay Area CREEC,

The Puente Project (http://www.puente.net/) is looking for a Latino/a
guest speaker who works in the environmental profession to speak at an
upcoming teacher training in Berkeley (see notice below). Please
forward this request to likely candidates who work in the environmental
field. It would be great to have Environmental Educator participate.
Interested individuals should contact Angela Acosta-Salazar as soon as

Thanks and I hope everyone in the Bay Area is doing well. Thanks

Please accept this invitation to participate in a Green Job Professional
Panel on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at UC Berkeley, from 11:00am - 12:00pm
in the Seaborg Room. We are putting a panel of diverse professionals
who work in the Environmental field together as part of our Puente
teacher counselor training. A facilitator will set the stage by talking
about green jobs and then begin a discussion about your career
highlights as well as your educational journey. The audience is newly
appointed Puente teachers and counselors. The purpose of the panel is to
model for our teachers and counselors the type of professional panel we
will be holding for their students on their high school sites later in
    the school year.

The mission of Puente is to increase the number of educationally
disadvantaged students who enroll in four-year colleges and
universities, earn degrees, and return to the community as leaders and
    mentors of future generations.

Should your schedule permit and you are able to participate on the
panel, we would like to schedule a phone call to brief you in more
detail and provide you the questions we will be using for the panel
discussion. We also want to share information about your agency or
organization as well as any resources you can recommend to our high
    schools sites.

Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to working with
    you.

    Respectfully,

    Angela Acosta-Salazar
