Earth Care Organization is grassroots organization founded in 1969-70 for the first Earth Day and is dedicated to "Make Every Day an Earth Day" through education and community involvement. Most regular members are classroom teachers, but participation is inclusive and open to all who are interested in EE and positive activities for kids. ECO-ED Center is a network for sharing information and supporting implementation of EE in the classroom by the conducting of teacher training workshops, seminars, events, project, and student conferences. ECO sponsors Earth Care Kids for kids of all ages, "kids at heart" or those who care enough about kids to help them secure an environmentally safe future. Earth Care Kids gather, informally as needed, to learn about environmental issues in the community and undertake community service projects. Earth Care Kids are grassroots, diverse and may represent various organizations for a particular event or project. ECO has organized the Earth Day Events in Brownsville,Texas since 1970, sponsors the Kids Care Conference following Earth Day to bring youth together with civic officials and Kids Care Envirnmental clubs in the schools.
