ADULT EDUCATION defined " to equip adults with the knowledge and skills necessary to participate effectively as citizens, workers, parents and as family and community members must be coordinated by the ADULT EDUCATION COMMITTEE to be established by the legislature.

As Debra Shanks says, ADULT EDUCATION SHOULD BE WHERE THE ADULTS ARE" . The matter about WHO DELIVERS , the K-12 Public Schools and / or Community Colleges, moves us to an inappropriate stadium: because ALL the educational providers must work toward the ADULT LITERACY AND NUMERACY.
Public Schools, Community Colleges, Postsecondary Institutions, Private Schools, other providers as Faith based organizations, for and non for profit groups, ALL we have the responsibility to recover the wise Adult people who is illiterate or those who tough studied don't have certificates for what they know, and those who don't have the High School Diploma. Let's not waste such a human force !

With an open, receptive mind about Adult Education options and choices regarding recruitment, standards, schedules, curricula, assessments and management .

Have in perspective, the Postsecondary framework to measure the Adult Education standards, because the Higher education Institutions knows the workforce requirements.

Finally, remember that 2020 Master Plan and courses success depends not only on funding, but educating PARENT AND CHILDREN LEARNING TOGETHER, not fighting each other but getting our society success.

The ADULT EDUCATION programs, to be delivered by Public and / or Private providers, should be CONTRACTED between THE ADULT AND THE PROVIDER , and not necessarily must be fully funded by public funds : Adults , voluntarily may pay at least part of their tuition: this option drives them into the self-esteem and appreciation of their effort and success:
1.ABE
2.ESL
3.CITIZENSHIP
4.ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES
5.HEALTH AND SAFETY
6.HOME ECONOMICS
7.PARENT EDUCATION
8.OLDER ADULTS
9.GED
10.ADULT SECONDARY EDUCATION,leading to ADULT HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA from
Public or Private School.
11.VOCATIONAL
