Welcome
WestEd's Family Partnership Initiative (FPI) Training-of-Trainers Institute helps child-development trainers enhance partnerships between families and staff. The Institute is designed for staff in state-funded, center-based programs and family child care home networks serving children (birth to 12 years) and their families. The Family Partnership Initiative offers strategies that programs can use with both families and staff to
- support children’s learning and development;
- highlight the strengths each member brings to the partnership; and
- explore innovative ways to nurture these partnerships.
Who should attend?
The FPI Training-of-Trainers Institute is designed for child development leaders who impact the professional development of practitioners in their region, including
- teacher trainers;
- program leaders;
- consultants; and
- family leaders serving children from birth to 12 years interested in enhancing the staff-family partnerships at their programs.
All interested child development leaders are welcome to attend the Institutes, although preference is given to staff working at state-funded child care programs and family members of the children served in those programs. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m., the Institute begins at 9 a.m. and concludes at 4 p.m.
