Organization Profile:
The Children's Museum at La Habra is an active learning center where young children can challenge themselves, discover how the world works, try on new roles and learn through play in our hands-on exhibits and programs. Located in a charming 1923 restored railroad station, California's original children's museum first opened in La Habra in 1977. 12,500 square feet of interactive exhibits put children in touch with the worlds of science, history, the arts, humanities, and everyday life. Programs include a variety of exhibit centers, with a one - of - a - kind changing exhibit gallery; dozens of special events, workshops and performances; fun-filled birthday party celebrations; traveling outreach trunks, kits, classroom programs and publications. Our safe, attractive learning environment is designed primarily for children ages 2 - 11.
