There are many issues to
consider in developing and implementing a special
education program. While they will vary from school
to school, several are common to all schools, including
funding, space and facilities, human resources, curriculum,
service provision, professional development,
administration, transportation and special considerations.
The following checklist poses questions designed
to help operators consider these important areas.
