Celebrate Science is a collaboration of the county’s major science organizations dedicated to providing information on family science events and the latest resources on science education for local teachers.

Celebrate Science was formed in conjunction with a May 3, 2005 proclamation from the Orange County Board of Supervisors under the sponsorship of Supervisor Bill Campbell. The proclamation, initiated by Project Tomorrow, declared the month of May as Excellence in Science Education Month but the collaboration has vowed to continue its efforts of promoting science education and events.		 Celebrate Science is designed to:
  • Provide opportunities for all Orange County science organizations to share information about their resources for parents, students and teachers;
  • Increase awareness and support of science education in Orange County;
  • Recognize the contributions of outstanding Orange County science educators;
