Full Description Riverside Unified School District has district-developed content standards easily accessible on its Web site in user-friendly format. A novel approach was adding sample test items for particular mathematics standards to help readers understand the standard. Standards are published for language arts, mathematics, science, and history/social science. The Web site includes Classroom Curriculum Links. This is a resource area designed especially for teachers to provide easy access to instructional Web sites. It has been divided into grade level and subject area that are matched to the district's course of study topics, standards, and benchmarks. Besides providing content standards on its Web site, the district supports teachers with ample professional development opportunities to understand the meaning of the standards and how to design standards-based lessons. |
